TW Fine Art spearheads new forms of visual artist representation that subvert the buyer-centric model of the current gallery-status-quo. We accomplish this by utilizing our deep knowledge of the norms of the fine art industry and personal experience in the field to create maximally profitable outcomes for artists. At the same time, we put the emphasis of our in-house efforts into artist development and management. We provide artists with the guidance, compassionate representation, knowledge, financial services, and business structures necessary to thrive at the top of the highly-competitive contemporary art market. In doing so, we create an ecosystem in which artists, collectors, and partner galleries/dealers collectively thrive – culturally and financially. All without falling into the many pitfalls that have decimated all but the most wealthy and long-established blue-chip galleries over the past two decades.
TW Fine Art’s hybrid model of fine artist representation entails managing an artist's career, along with the business backend required to produce and sell art. Simultaneously, we pair fine artists with the right galleries, artist services, dealers, and collectors on a global scale, while also displaying and selling art directly from our Palm Beach, Florida outpost. Our approach to fine artist management means that we act as an intermediary between a fine artist and various other stakeholders. This allows artists to focus on art production while giving partner galleries the confidence that they can exhibit a TW Fine Art artist with the guarantee of efficiency and effectiveness. Through this collaborative effort, all parties' voices are amplified.
There are two predominant roadmaps for artists with TW Fine Art artist agency/artist representation: the first is “a la carte” representation, meaning that the artist can selectively pick and choose which projects, exhibitions, services, etc. in which they want to involve us. This form of representation will have the higher commissions of the two forms while still undercutting blue-chip galleries. Often, this occurs through TW consigning a selection of works and then either displaying them first-hand at our Palm Beach outpost, or creating a proposal to exhibit the work at a partner gallery.
The second form of artist representation is a 360º deal, in which TW Fine Art exclusively represents an artist in all their fine art endeavors globally. We then handle all the business-backend (making an artist “business-ready,” maintaining databases and catalogs, strategic career and asset management planning, artwork placement, collector studio lists, art fair placements, etc.) thereby enabling the artist to focus on the production of art rather than the business of art, to the degree that each artist desires. Through TW Fine Art representation, artists have a level of critical distance from art galleries and dealers, enabling them to act strategically in their own best interest, while also fostering and facilitating access to art-world insiders and institutions.
