COLIN ROBERTS

Colin Roberts is a Los Angeles based artist whose body of work consists of sculpture, drawings and installations that explore various themes around the human condition of fragility. Kaleidoscopic Glass  Pillows, Tiny Men On Tits, Prosthetic beings, and resin Bubblewrap sculptures are some of the surreal creations that make up the work. Constant exploration of ideas and materials combine with uncanny imagery from a vast array of pop culture sources. This creates a careful balance of humor, science and horror, calculated to lead the viewer to question their personal thoughts on various subjects. Through this, the works have the ability to cross significant cultural, social and psychic boundaries.

Colin's work is exhibited in galleries internationally and is included in hundreds of collections around the world. His art has been utilized in conjunction with some of the world's most renowned designers and architects, including fashion designer Maison Martin Margiela and Johnston Marklee Architects. He received a BFA from Otis School of Art and Design in 2001.
